Im editing an article on tourism in the Caribbean because for many countries in this region, tourism supports a large part of the economy. Also, many Americans spend vacation in the Caribbean and contribute to this part of the Caribbean economy heavily. The article that already exists is brief and could use some expansion. I plan to add informations about the effects of tourism in this region, both good and bad, has on the people that inhabit the islands and the health of the island itself.

Possible Sources that could expand the article:

Resisting paradise : tourism, diaspora, and sexuality in Caribbean culture; Angelique V Nixon

Behind the smile : the working lives of caribbean tourism; George Gmelch

Last Resorts: the cost of tourism in the Caribbean; Polly Pattullo

Paradise and Plantation : Tourism and Culture in the Anglophone Caribbean; Ian Gregory Strachan

Great start. I have two questions about your approach: It looks like the existing article is organized into "History", "Economics", "Attractions", and "Cultural Impacts." Is there a particular section you plan to add, or to expand? Second, what do you think are the benefits of looking at this for the whole Caribbean versus looking at one or two individual countries? Come see me if you need help finding scholarly articles. Katherine.Holt (talk) 23:13, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
