Raymond James Mckenna

Early Life.

Born to parents Enda Mckenna (father) and Audrey White ( mother).

From a very young age Raymond's explosive strength had been noticed by his father. He would often help his father in the garden whilst lifting heavy materials as well as heavy building materials when his father required help during building work. As his parents did not have a car, Raymond would often help his mother carry the shopping home from the local supermarket.

Raymond would watch the Incredible Hulk series starring Lou ferringo religiously and would act out the Hulks great strength around the house and garden.

His father would often take him to Bushey Station to watch the trains go by, he told his father " when I'm older I shall be a train driver"

He had a passion for football, playing for his junior school football team (Watford Fields school ) with great success.

Athletics.

Raymond started secondary School and attended Queens School in Bushey Hertfordshire it is here where he found his passion Athletics ( Discus).

Whilst lined up on the field with his class during a PE lesson they all took turns in throwing the discus, one throw stood out from the rest, it was at this point Ray knew he had a use for his strength.

He competed for the school from (1989 to 1992) only losing one compition.

He was introduced to his present club ( Watford Harriers ) and competed in the junior age group for which he slowly started climbing up the UK rankings.

He was then introduced to throws coach Frank Whiteley, the pair bonded and Frank had Ray throwing very long distances with the discus.

In 1992 Ray went to win the Hertfordshire championships, as well as the all England schools championships in Hull, and he then went on to represent England at the schools International match for which he won.

Personal life.

In 1993 whilst training in the Opus 2 gym in Watford he met Geri Halliwell.The two became close friends, and they started to train together, as well as training together they would socialise. Geri has her dreams of becoming a pop star, on the day of her audition for the Spice Girls Ray companed her, the rest is history as he would tell is friends.

Present life

Raymond is currently working for Virgin trains, he fulfilled his dream of becoming a train driver, he lives with his current partner and their two children in Northampton Northamptonshire.
