(I am still working through some of these sections such as Cassandra in the Trojan Women play and all sources are not fully polished yet)

Cassandra edit

(Note: This under the the main title section "Cassandra", following the line "Cassandra became a figure of epic tradition and of tragedy.")

She has appeared in classical texts like that of Homer, Virgil, and in playwrights produced by Aeschylus and Euripides.

Mythology edit

Biography edit

(Note: This is a rework of the main biography subsection)

Cassandra was one of the many children born to the king and queen of Troy, Priam and Hecuba. She is the fraternal twin sister of Helenus, as well as the sister to Hector and Paris[1]. She is described to be beautiful, with brunette hair and grey eyes[2], as well as clever though thought to be insane.

The Fall of Troy and aftermath edit

(Note: the base of the article is fine but I am including in artwork of Ajax and Cassandra or following Cassandra in the temple of Athena)

Ajax and Cassandra by Solomon J. Solomon, 1886.

Cassandra begging Minerva for vengeance on Ajax, by Jerome-Martin Langlois.
