Raspatul was formed in 1996, playing a style of raw and agressive Death Thrash Metal. The band recorded 'Menghitung Ajal' EP in early 2001 and 'The Perfect Realm Of Jharkyannarkh Promo CD' in 2004. Both of the self-financed releases had gained worldwide acceptance from Metal magazines and webzines, and also featured in numerous compilations and CD-Samplers like Brutallica Magazine.
In year 2000, the original guitar player left the band due to family commitments and Calvin (ex-Deviant, Steelglory, Predatory, ex-Suicide Solution) joined the band shortly after.
In 2005, Raspatul's singer Ayim was killed in a brutal motorcycle accident. He was only 23 years old. The band soon came to a halt, but still actively doing worldwide promotions for reviews and interviews.
In 2006, Raspatul signed a worldwide deal with Canada's Obskure Sombre Records to release all their recorded songs into a professional CD format. The album will be entitled 'Devils In Renewed Birth' and the legendary James Murphy (Death, Obituary, Testament, Disincarnate) handled the mastering duties for this album.
