The Battle of Gjynoqari was a battle fought on June 18, 1943 during World War II, between the Albanian forces under the command of Hysni Lepenica against the Italian forces in Albania.

Italian forces consisting of a regiment attempt to carry out a new operation in the Mallakastër area. Local nationalist squads rush there to confront the enemy. The Vlora detachment, under the command of Hysni Lepenica, went to help the local nationalist forces. The Italians first occupy and burn three villages and advance towards Gjinoqari, where they encounter strong resistance and retreat disorientated, suffering great damage.

editafter the battle the Italian military forces were forced to retreat, abandoning the area, this was a great victory for the national front which reconquered the village
