Reform The Resistance was born when brothers Jason and Sambo Moncivaiz set out to record Justifide's third album on Ardent Records with mastermind producer Malcolm Springer (Full Devil Jacket, Greenwheel, Liquid Gang). The sound changed after hitting the studio with Springer, leading to creative differences and a parting with the label. After 2 years of writing and recording, a record was finished, and all that was left to do was find a drummer to complete the band. Ryan Dugger, a native of Nashville, joined the band shortly thereafter and Reform The Resistance took shape in July of 2006. [1]

Reform the Resistance in Studio edit

While recording And so It Begins, the Moncivaiz brothers would play Madden Football. If Sambo beat Jason, Jason refused to record until he had beaten Sambo. They also had the producers pastor come do a devotion at the start of every day recording. This resulted in a deepening of the meaning of their lyrics and helped keep their focus on God.
