Ralph Rayner is Chairman of Sonardyne International Limited.
In addition to this role, Ralph is a Professorial Research Fellow at the London School of Economics in the Centre for Analysis of Time Series and is responsible for industry advocacy and outreach for the US Integrated Ocean Observing System.
Ralph is currently President of the Society for Underwater Technology and a member of the Society’s Council.
During his career he has created and developed a number of leading oceanographic and environmental service companies providing systems and consultancy to the maritime industries and governments worldwide.
Ralph has a BSc in Biology, an MSc in Underwater Science and Technology and a PhD in physical oceanography.
He has authored numerous marine scientific papers and reports and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Operational Oceanography.
