My name is John Patrick Dukes, and I was born in Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. My dad was a fisherman, like my granddad and his dad before, and I was practically raised on the Lough Neagh. I no doubt would have wound up a fisherman too, if it hadn't been for my short time in a radical wing of the Irish Republican Army (a time I'd rather not tell of) and the moderate prison sentence I served in HM Prison Albany on the Isle of Wight.
