I picked the Russian Revolution as a topic for the English and Russian Wikipedia articles because their viewpoints would probably have a lot of contrast from different perspectives. The Russian people would likely be more familiar with the historical events in general since it occurred in their country and hearing first-hand accounts from older generations. The English and Russian Wikipedia articles for the Russian Revolution are very long and have a surprising amount of detail and content. The English article focuses more on the start of the main revolution in 1917 and the proceeding civil war, while the Russian article focuses more on earlier historical events (like the 1905 Revolution) that lead up to the 1917 revolution. The English article looks at cultural issues and popular portrayals of the history and the Russian article looks at social issues. The organization of various categories is quite different. Both articles have a detailed timeline of events.--Jeflicki (talk) 00:53, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
