I chose to compare the English and Spanish pages on emo music/fashion/stereotypes. Years ago, I remember reading about emo kids who were being assaulted in Mexico. Even while I was visiting my grandmother in Mexico, she warned me about "los emos," so I figured there might be a pretty big disparity between an English and a Spanish Wikipedia article on emos.
The first thing I noticed is that the Spanish article had a NPOV warning template while the English did not. I think the reason why that template was slapped on the page is that the Spanish article seemed more concerned with defending "true" emo music rather than the "commercialized" version that entered the mainstream in the 2000's. But the most glaring difference between the two articles: the Spanish article mentions nothing about emo fashion, emo stereotypes, or the assaults and killings of emo teenagers in both Mexico and Iraq. This was really surprising to me, as the English article even covered a suicide that was suggested to have been "caused" by listening to emo music.
