THE FAMOUS LIBRARY The British Museum is one of the richest museums in the world. The museum is both a great library and a natural history museum. It contains works of art in glass, stone and gold. By law the library of the British Museum must preserve a copy of every book published in Britain. The collection of books is so large that the public can use only its small part. Everybody knows about the famous Reading Room of the library. The Room has a shape of a circle. The librarians sit in the center of the Room and collect books. Today there are millions of books in the library. But when you just ask for a book, in a moment it will in front of you. Every year millions of people visit the library, so only highly qualified specialists are able to manage the work in this library.
