I'm new to Wikipedia, currently spending time looking at other articles, reading talk pages, trying to figure out how best to contribute.

I live near Boston, USA in the summer and in Mexico in the winter, most recently Oaxaca. In my professional life I'm in electronic publishing and work with XML, XSL, SQL, Java, PHP, Python, the Semantic Web and a few other related technologies.

For fun, I like Local History and travel as much as possible -- mainly in the US, Mexico, Europe and Canada. My contributions so far have been small. Travel permitting, I'll do more.
