Jupiter Punungwe is a Zimbabwean electrical engineer currently working and living in South Africa. Punungwe has extensive knowledge of the wider electrical engineering field having considerable experience on both light current and heavy current electrical engineering.

In the heavy current area he has been involved in the design of medium range power transformers, as well as design and operation of electrical power transmission systems. He is a reasonably proficient user of PSS/E. He has done research into harmonics introduced onto power systems by PWM inverter driven variable speed drives.

On the light current Punungwe has been involved in a number of microprocessor and microcontroller based designs. He is a very competent and prolific developer of embedded software in assembler, C and C++.

Punungwe also has extensive experience as a software developer in multiple languages. He has developed software in Borland C++/C++ Builder, Delphi, Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal, BASIC, Modula-2, Turbo C/C++, PHP among others. Punungwe also has extensive experience in relational databases having started with dBase III+. Currently he specialises in writing small databases with MySQL and the MSDE version of SQL a server.

Punungwe is a guru when it comes to writing or using software to solve complex technical or scientific problems.

Punungwe is also an excellent team player, trainer and mentor. He is a highly innovative logical thinker with absolutely no fear of tackling tough problems.
