As of January 2010 I am a brand new editor/contributor to Wikipedia.

By profession I analyze public policies, with graduate education and/or degrees in public policy, economics, and political science. I have an extensive research background. I am recently retired from the Federal government, where I analyzed or prepared legislation, regulations, policy proposals, budgets, and other policy documents for cabinet secretaries and other high officials. My main areas of expertise include health policy and programs, health insurance, social policy, government regulation, and benefit/cost analysis. I have a near encyclopedic knowledge of public policy and public and private programs in several of these areas, and am also highly knowledgeable in other fields such as environment, research methods, urban policy, science policy, and biomedical research.

I have written widely in several of the above fields, and have published several books and articles. I look forward to helping to contribute to Wikipedia. I do not suffer fools or errors lightly.
