Thomas Li-Ping Tang, Ph.D. earned his B.S. degree in Psychology from Chung Yuan Christian University in Chungli, Taiwan and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, he is a Professor of Management in the Department of Management and Marketing, Jennings A. Jones College of Business, at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Besides teaching management, OB, and HRM courses at MTSU, Dr. Tang has taught Industrial and Organizational Psychology at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan and at MTSU. He also has offered seminars to graduate students and faculty in China (Fuzhou, Hong Kong, Lianyungang, Nanchang, Shanghai, and Qingdao), France (Nantes), and Spain (Valencia). His has published more than 150 journal articles and abstracts in top business, management, and psychology journals, such as: Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Human Relations, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Ethics, Management and Organization Review, Management Research, Public Personnel Management, Personality and Individual Differences, and Management Decision and presented numerous papers in professional conferences around the world. He is an Associate Editor for Applied Psychology: An International Review, European Journal of Information Systems, serves/has served on 9 editorial review boards including Journal of Business Ethics, and has reviewed papers for a total of 60 journals around the world. He was the winner of two Outstanding Research Awards (1991, 1999), Distinguished International Service Award (1999), Outstanding Faculty Member (2008), and Career Achievement Award (2008) at Middle Tennessee State University. He also received four Best Reviewer Awards from two Divisions of the Academy of Management (2003, 2007, 2009, 2011). He is a Fellow of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP), the oldest international association for psychologists, established in 1920, with scholars and researchers from 80 countries around the world.
