Portrane Hockey Club
As a hockey club we have been at the heart of the Donabate/Portrane Community since the 1920’s. Up until the 1990’s we were undoubtedly the most successful club on the Northside of Dublin capturing almost all the major Honours in Irish Hockey. Our traditional home has always been the hospital sports ground in St. Ita’s Portrane. With the compulsory introduction of astro turf to men’s and ladies hockey we are now committed to securing this facility with our preference for a ground on the site of Donabate/Portrane Community Centre where the Hockey Club are very proud of our central role in this development.
