lyra was a student at soas university of london. she achieved a ba in history, writing on japanese war memory in anime (garuzu ando pantsa and sukai kurora); and an ma in japanese studies, writing a historical account of transgender approaches to the body in manga. she enjoys writing about film and learning history. she is responsible for the initial plot summaries found on the wikipedia pages for detective bureau 2-3: go to hell bastards!, deadbeat at dawn, dead or alive 2: birds, and dead or alive: final. she also contributed to high and low (1963) after being shocked that it was registered a start-class article.
