Idea
editThe idea of this play came to him from a joke on Jay Leno where Jay says "They use to call ROTC when I was in high school Run Off To Canada. He started with that title and then changed it to something funnier, "Run Over The Canadians," but fearing it would offend people he changed it to "Run Off Through Canada."
Synopsis
editAct 1
The play starts out where Thomas Hillaway is instructing his ROTC class and it's almost the end of the year and it's time to turn in the uniforms. Alan Jefferson lost his uniform and must go to his house and find it.
Around that time Cindy Slepky comes home with grocery bags. Alan rushes home then leaves to go to the bank and tells Cindy "We're going to Canada." After Alan leaves Isabella Avalon, an older "crazy" lady comes over and her and Cindy talk. Cindy invites her to Canada as while Thomas tries to find Alan but Cindy misleads him and Isabella tells him that her, and Alan and his girlfriend are going to Canada. So Thomas leaves to get prepared to go to Canada. When everyone is ready they leave on an trip they'd never forget.
While there on the road Alan is a little unhappy Isabella had to come along and when they stop to go the bathroom the police "Sheriff Cooper" pulls then over and gives them a five hundred dollar ticket and they continue to drive and it's getting dark cause they took a detour.
They have finally reached Las Vegas and it's the next morning. They want to go see a show and they find a listing for THomas Hillaway not thinking it's Sergeant Hillaway. They then decide to go eat in the hotel where they meet Alan's best friend, Tyler Peterson. They all then decide to go see Thomas Hillaway, who is a comic, along with the Hotel Clerk. Alan soon realizes the comic is Sergeant Hillaway and they leave the theatre and when they get back to their car a guy, Bernardo Barrera Hernadez, is there.

Idea
editThe idea for this play came after he'd been in theatre for a year and he decided he wanted to write a play about the backstage of a theatre. He was only going to write 2 or 3 songs for this show but ended up writing a whole score.
