Who I am

edit

PlainSense is the Wiki account for Christine Burns MBE, the Managing Director of Plain Sense Ltd, which is a UK-based consultancy specialising in Equality and Diversity advice for management.

Please note that as I am also the subject of more than one WikiPedia article I endeavour to operate ethically and with regard to WikiPedia's guidelines on Conflict of Interest. This means that, I generally avoid the temptation to edit the page about me. An exception would be if I notice a minor factual error (such as a date) or if I think it is possible to mend a broken link that has previously been contributed by another. I'm a stickler for accuracy, so I find it very hard to avoid pointing them out.

As I am learning the ways of WikiPedia, however, I am more likely to suggest such corrections be made by others on the Talk page in the interests of proper transparency.

For more details see my Blog and my Podcast Series about Equality and Diversity topics. I also have a YouTube channel. All of these channels share the brand name "Just Plain Sense", which reflects the name of my consultancy.
