I plan on expanding the history section of the Union Square article to include some history on labor strikes and nickelodeons which existed in the early 20th century. I want to expand the "social and political activism" section of the article because a bulk of it only mentions events which happened in the 19th century and then pretty much jumps to modern day.

editUnion Square is a historic plaza located in the borough of Manhattan, New York City. It is named for the the union of 4th Ave and Broadway. Union Square has a large history involving labor unions and protests.
The Square's shopping district saw strikes in the S.Klein and Ohrbach department stores in 1934. White collar workers were among the worst paid in Great Depression era New York City, with union memberships being highly discouraged by store managers and often seen as fire able offenses. These strikes often involved acts of disobedience by the workers as many of them did not want to lose their jobs.[25]
