Career
editHickinson was born in Huntingdon. Having shown early promise in a number of sports including Tennis and Football, Hickinson joined the first-ever pre-academy intake at Peterborough United. He has represented Peterborough United at every age group from under-9s through to under-23s culminating in a maiden first-team appearance from the bench in Peterborough United's final preseason game of the 21-22 season against Portsmouth at Fratton Park on 31 July 2021[1]. A memorable FA Youth Cup run including a winning goal at Pride Park against Derby[2], a fantastic strike at the Weston Homes against Nottingham Forest alongside consistently eye-catching performances, goals and assists for the under-18s earned Hickinson the opportunity to play regularly with the under-23 group where he's established himself as a regular performer.
On 19 November 2021, Hickinson signed his first professional contract for EFL Championship club Peterborough United[3].
