Bill Toms is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Pittsburgh, PA. His work has taken him all over the world and earned him critical accalaim.

Biography

Bill Toms started his musical career as a founding member of the Pittsburgh based bands: Pendulum The Shades (a popular Pittsburg band in the early 80’s) Bill Toms then joined Pittsburgh’s legendary band Joe Grushecky The Houserockers as lead guitarist in 1987.

In 1995, the acclaimed Houserocker CD, “American Babylon,” was recorded and produced by Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen toured with the band to promote the cd trading lead guitar licks with Toms.

Bill Tom’s formed his own band, Bill Toms and Hard Rain as a side project to the Houserockers in 1996. A decade later Bill was able to focus full time on his solo project in 2006.

While with Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers he opened for and played with The Band, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Little Feat and Stevie Ray Vaughn. During his 19 years of playing guitar and singing back-up vocals for the Houserockers, Toms’ recorded six studio albums and one live concert album, Live at Moondogs: Another Moonlight Mystery was released to international critical acclaim in January 2010.

         Bill Toms’ solo performances have taken him all over the United States and Europe. In addition to his previous six studio CD's and single EP, his CD, “Live at Moondogs: Another Moonlight Mystery” was released to international critical acclaim in January 2010
         Bill has just finished released his Will Kimbrough produced CD, “Memphis”, which was released on September 13th, 2011.
