Okapundjona village

It is named Okapundjona which means small-chair as it is the smallest village in Engela constituency in Ohangwena region with 28 houses situated 17 kilometers north of Oshakati. Being small makes it to be only resided by pure Kwanyamas.

Before you enter the village the first thing you will notice is uncle Elia's well which hold water throughout the whole year and this helps provide animals with water even though it also provide us humans with catfish. As it is the only natural source of water this makes it essential to the residents and made them feel proud of it as a blessing from god.During droughtseasons the animals do not suffer because there is always water in there and during rainy seasons it holds water up to full capacity.

Okapundjona's good leader

The small village have all blessings from god. apart from its well it is also blessed with a good headman MR Matheus H. Kakololo, he is a good leader who always work towards what he wants to achieve. His vision is to have a well mannered nation and the mission is to have all his villagers educated and doing things the right way.
