Windocks

Windocks is computer Software Company headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. Windocks software is eponomously named after the company, and is an independent port of Docker’s open source project to Windows that includes database cloning. The company is best known for support of SQL Server containers with database clones.

Windocks supports Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, with container support for .NET, Java, MySQL, and all editions of SQL Server 2008 onward. Windocks has evolved to focus on enterprise database cloning, security, and delivery within an enterprise. The company positions the business as a Windows based alternative to Delphix and other UNIX based storage appliances.

History

Windocks was founded by Ramesh Parameswaran and Paul Stanton in 2013, and was initially released in April of 2016.

Windocks 1.0 was released in April, 2016, as an independent port of Docker’s source for Windows. Windocks 2.0 was released in April, 2017, featuring the addition of SQL Server database cloning.
