Álvaro Augusto Matos Almeida, was born in Felgueiras, Resende in 1956. He's the current president of of the Felgueiras (Resende) civil parish, elected by the Socialist Party, for the fourth consecutive mandate. He is married, father of three children, and exerts the position of nurse-head in the Resende Medical Center. In 2005 he was re-elected president of the Civil Parish of Felgueiras, defeating the candidate of the Social Democratic Party.
