Open Channel Block edit

Open Channel Block refers to the idea that various drugs and other small molecules produce their effects by entering and plugging open ion channels. The idea was first proposed by Clay Armstrong to explain the action of tetraethylammonium ions, and other similar ions, on the potassium channel current in the squid giant axon [1]
