Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela the true Hero
editNelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in the village near Mthatha in Transkei, South Africa.He attend his primary school at local mission were he was given the Christian name Nelson than he went to the university college of Fort Harare and Witwatersrand universitywere he was studying Bachelor of arts degree. He got married to his first wife Evelyn Ntoko Mase and their wedding took place at the Native commission's court in Johannesburg and they were blessed with four children.In 1958 he got divorce and got married again to his second wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and divorce again. Lastly he got married to his third wife Graca Machel the widow of Samora Machel in 1989.
Nelson join Africa National Congress ANC in 1944 and he was elected as the president of ANC in 1960 because of his discliplined work and consistent effort.He was arrested and banned in 1962 when he got involved in politics and him being a victim of various forms of repression, he was sentenced to prison for 5 years and released on February 11,1990. At the age of 75 in 1994 he became the presinted of South Africa and retired in 1999.
