The Problem with a Banana

Bananas are a well know tropical fruit produced by several kinds of large flower plants. They are mostly exported and produced in North American countries like Costa Rica. Bananas are rich in vitamin B6, and potassium making them healthy by helping in muscle development. A banana can be a healthy treat, but it can be quite the opposite sue to one of the largest problems facing it. Bananas are a very delicate fruit and can rot or get damaged very easily. This is the biggest problem with a banana since it is a pain to transport and therefore it can only really be particle to eat at home or where bought. Bananas can even looking disguised to look good and fresh from the outside due to their yellow skin but when opened they can look black and rotten. A rotten banana is as good as no banana, since it cannot be consumed anymore and bananas are in very high risk of getting damaged or ruined when transported, if not washed, whole and fresh before the transportation. When being transported bananas can take up to a lot of unnecessary space for its amount, caused by its very irregular long shape, meaning carrying enough bananas to feed a average person and keep them satisfied for 5 plus hours could take up to half an average school bag (depending on its size). Finally, when a banana is put in a small container, containing of many other things like books, laptops, etc. for a large amount of time, it can give out its smell making the whole bag including all the equipment inside the bag stink of bananas. Certain people might argue with the Transportation of a banana to be its biggest problem by suggesting that the mushiness and softness of a banana is a bigger problem than its transportation and any other problems. This statement can be correct since many people don’t like getting their hands on a skinned banana, due to it easily getting stuck to your fingers. A banana also easily stains an object if in contact with it, which would have to make the object get washed in order to remove the banana stains. A banana stain would definitely be unfortunate, but would still make the banana edible and the object stained usable, meaning those who say the mushiness of a banana is its biggest problems are wrong. Secondly a banana is still in good condition and can still be consumed without harming anything with permanent consequences, while transporting a banana can create great damage to the banana and its container to the point where the banana is no longer edible due to how rotten or damaged in transport it got. People say the greatest solution to making a banana transportable is transporting it the moment it was bought meaning fresh and also washing it before. People also recommend not carrying halved bananas or simply covering it in plastic wrap if carried. I think the best possible solution in carrying or transporting a banana is to buy a banana holder. A banana holder would ensure your bag doesn’t stink of banana and would protect the banana from any scratches or hits from other objects.
