Pádraic Ó Neachtain is a television presenter, director and journalist. He was born in 1973.

Pádraic currently works for Telegael in An Spidéal and presents feature programmes for TG4. A native of Indreabhán, Co na Gaillimhe, Padraic is the eldest of five siblings. He attended Coláiste Chroí Mhuire Secondary School in An Spidéal. He graduated from University College Galway with a B.A in History and Irish in 1995.

Pádraic has a wide range of experience presenting and directing live and pre-recorded broadcasting including sports, cookery, political and children's programmes. He has worked as a news editor with RTÉ Nuacht. He has presented numerous television programmes including Echo and DEN TV on RTÉ and An Tuath Nua on TG4. He was one of the 1st presenters on TG4 when it started broadcasting in 1996 when he presented the chat show Síbín. He was involved with the production of the Irish language version of Sesame Street and is the voice of Elmo and Bert.

Radio experience include newsreader with Radio na Gaeltachta and he presented the Drivetime Farm News on RTÉ Radio One for a number of years.


He has worked for the Farmers Journal and the Irish language newspaper Foinse.


He was campaign manager for Seán Ó Neachtain's bid for the European Parliament in 2005.
