Deforestation in Namibia

edit

Deforestation is the process where by trees are cut down at a faster rate than they can be replaced. Deforestation in Namibia normally took and still take place at the Northern part of Namibia. During the time of 1800s, the Northern part was an impressing woodland that suprised the European travellers. At the time of 1850s the enviroment has changed especially in the Owambo region, where people cut down trees, due to the population growth and settlement patterns, land use practices, the structure of production, increased consumption pattern of woods and other valuations related to forests.[1]
