Things I should be able to do with MediaWiki but can't
editIdea kind of stolen from Samsara. Notice how most of these have to do with searching? Hmm...
- Easily find all and only the contributions of user X to article Y.
- Put a user's contributions list on my watchlist.
- See all of user X's new article creations in one list.
- Search for a phrase within user X's contributions (or at least, articles to which he's contributed).
- Search within a particular namespace multiple times without having to re-tick the relevant checkboxes after each search.
- Sort categories by tagged article metadata. Or really, anything but alphabetical lists.
- View category trees as... trees. Also, view intersections of two or more categories.
- Manage references in some way that a) allows multiple citations to the same source, and b) doesn't involve cluttering the edit window with lines and lines of reference text (exponentially worse when people use those damn {{cite book}} type templates).
- Sort 'what links here' by... anything really. What is it sorted by?
