Jaimí(Jamie) Ivan Tapia (born 20th April 1991 in Mexico City) is a semi-professional footballer who currently is a free agent after being released by Mexican second division side 'Indios de Ciudad Juáres.'

He was released by the club, on July 11th 2010,as a result of their relegation from the country's premier division and subsequent cut in funds. Despite what this may suggest, he was credited with being the club's best teen star in his final season.

Trials Since Release

His father is one of the most successful businessmen in Mexico City. As a result of his father's riches, since his release by Indios, Jamie has been able to take trials with various british clubs including; , AFC Wimbledon, Exeter City, League of Ireland Team, Galway United, and perhaps most notably with Torquay United where he was considered for the first team in December 2010. In september 2010, Tapia managed to break into the first team and make one appearance for Swiss outfit Servette F.C. However this is the last known time that he has made an appearance competetively.

Style of Play

Tapia operates chiefly in the position of 'Right Wing Back.' He has notable pace which allows him to commonly break forward and attack. This attribute has resulted in local recognition for his attacking flair. Though his preffered position is at right wing back, he is known as being competent in a variety of positions, mainly on the edges of a formation, such as right midfield or in a more attacking sense, right wing.
