The Clausura 2012 season of the Mexican Segunda Division will be the second part of the 2011-12 season for both LPA (Liga Premier de Ascenso) and the LNT (Liga de Nuevos Talentos). The winner of the LPA C2012 tornament will play the ‘’’Final de Ascenso’’’ to be promoted to the Liga de Ascenso. If the current Apertura 2011 LPA Champions, Titanes de Tulancingo, win again, they will be automatically promoted.

Stadia and locations

The following 30 clubs will compete in the LPA of the Mexican Segunda Division during the 2011–12 season. They are divided into two groups of 15 clubs in each.

The top 8 teams in each group advance to the '’Playoffs’’ where they are matched according to their place in the overall standings with 1st place faceing the 16th and so on. Each team plays two games against each other on a home-and-away basis. The winner of each match up is determined by aggregate score.
