The Resurrection of Beauty is a 2014 feature length, experimental film by American artist, Mark Miremont.[1]

Synopsis

edit

The film has no plot in the conventional sense of the word and flows from scene to scene without logic, like a dream. It features some of the world's most beautiful women, in stunning locations. [2]

Quick note: a statement such as "some of the world's most beautiful women" won't fly in an encyclopedia. You'll need this sort of statement in quotation marks, as taken directly from a reliable third-party source, with a citation to a third-party site. In this case, IMDB isn't a strong reference (I don't believe IMDB is considered a strong source for content). Airplaneman 06:41, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

Cast

edit

(In order of appearance and as credited in the film).[3] Dita, Kate, Sophia, Johanna, Trine, Pason, Lucretia, Kerri, Jennifer, Madelina, Eliza, Paige, Heather, Domina, Analyn, Aly, Jessica, Rebecca, Jorie, Farrah, Rena, Lorraine and Anastasia.

Production

edit

The film was shot in several locations between 2004 and 2014. Locations included: Los Angeles, Upstate New York, Las Vegas, Toronto, Niagara Falls & the Dominican Republic. The film is an on-going project which is to be shown in its various stages as a complete work.[4]

Initial Reception

edit

The first cut of the film screened as the main attraction for an audience of over 5000 people in Amsterdam at Wasteland. The promoters built a large, custom theater within the event for people to sit and watch the film, as well as had several large screens for the film to be projected on throughout the event. [5]

edit

The film was produced at the same time that Miremont wrote, THE RESURRECTION OF BEAUTY- a manifesto for 21st century art.[6] It features the same elements of saturated color, stunning locations and models as his photography. [7]
