INTRODUCTION:
Kaisosi the name share the same meaning has katutura, since they were also relocated in 1971. Its home to more than 15 000 ihabitants and consist of over 100 homestead.The People in this settlement came from Sarusungu, Kanonga and Rupoworo. Kaisosi is located some 5km outside of Rundu in the North-east of Namibia. Kaisosi is located between Kehemu and Uvhungu-vhungu on the west and east and on the north and south is Maria Mwengere road and trans-Caprivi high way. On the northern side of Kaisosi you can find Okavango river and Kaisosi river logde its 2km walk from the residencial area. Kaisosi is home to two garden namely salem irrigation sheme and kalundungu irrigation scheme. Salem Irrigation Scheme is one of the bigest suply of vigetables and fruit in town and while Kalundungu Irrigation Scheme is a maize production scheme. Kaisosi is also home to SK Liverpool Football Club playing its trade in the Kavango second division football league. Its also home to Surusungu Combined School one of the best performing school annualy in kavango region and Kaisosi primary school. kaisoisi is home to the University of Namibia Rundu campus. Kaisosi boosts some of the new morden building like clinic facilite. it also boosts a police station facilite and a youth perpose center and an agriculture center.
HISTORY
Kaisosi was establish by the people who were relocated from the Mangarandja settlement, its 1km from the town of Rundu. They were also forced fully moved like what happen to the old location to new location in Windhoek. The people were moved the reason being it was a flooded area. Kaisosi had four headman today and it was mostly made out by one dominant tribe called Ngagela known has Nyemba. Ngagela are from angolan were they are mostly found came in Namibia in the later 60's and early 70's. in early 90's kaisosi was the most dengerous place with crime. It was home to the most deadly gang group known has Kaisosi Black Force. In 2001 Sarusungu Combined School was Changed from primary to combined and They are even talks that it might be change to a secondary in future.
BEST MOMENT
Kaisosi in its existing has achieved some of the most proud momment has a residence of the kaisosi you will be proud of. One of this momment was the innagural of the Rundu College of Education in 1996 but that achievement was more when in 2010 it was changed to a university branch of University of Namibia[1]. Sarusungu Combined School bring some of the joys to kaisosi also in its first year in 2002 of having grade 10 learner in top 10 and while in 2006 it achieved its highest rank to date number 5 in performance in Kavango region. On sport field SK liverpool fc have done wonders by becomming second place in two season in a row.
