Alireza Noruzi is a university scholar and received his Ph.D. from the University of Aix-Marseille, France. From 2010 to 2011, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at Université de Montréal, École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l'information. He also received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Library and Information Science in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He is also an independent information consultant, specializing in informology, information management, knowledge organization, metadata, indexing, indexing and abstracting service, thesaurus design and construction. His research interests include the World Wide Web, informology, information retrieval, information representation (subject indexing & abstracting) knowledge organization (metadata, cataloging, and classification), information consulting, competitive intelligence, bibliometrics, scientometrics, altmetrics, webometrics, open access (OA), Webology, and so on.
