My name is actually Dave, but I go by Nook Schreier as my Internet handle, and as a stage name. I chose this pseudonym because it is the born name af Jazz artist David Carroll, which is my real name.
My primary time-wasters are working with computers and making music. It turns out to be a good mix, since I can make music with my computer. I was taught and inspired by my friend Josh, who goes by the moniker Rhymezilla, so I made a website for him (Rhymezilla.com[1]). I post my own music there too, along with some of our other friends, and a couple of us are part of a group called Broke MCs.
My computer talents are somewhat diverse, but that's the way I like it. I know many of the common "web languages" (HTML, ASP, PHP, CSS), some C, and Flash/ActionScript. I am also fairly good at networking, such as installing cable and switches, configuring routers and firewalls, etc. I have set up and administered servers running various versions of Windows, Linux, BSD and Solaris. I've even worked with a couple of phone systems. I like working with just about everything with computers and networks.
