Jerry Tshabalala is a South African former professional football player and current coach of SAFA Women's League side Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies F.C. since 2012.

Born in Tembisa, Tshabalala is one of the most decorated coaches in African women's football. He won the inaugural CAF Women's Champions League and the 2023 CAF Women's Champions League. He has a record five SAFA Women's League titles.

Club career

Tshabalala played for Tembisa Black Pirates which played in the Castle League and also played for Tembisa Four Nations in the then Vodacom league.[1]

Coaching career

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies F.C.

In 2012, he was named the Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies F.C. coach. The following season he won his first SAFA Women's League title.

2020 Season

He won the 2020 SAFA Women's League title which qualified his team to the inaugural CAF Women's Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers. The side won the qualifiers. This led to them qualifying for the first-ever CAF Women's Champions League held in Egypt which they won making Tshabalala the first CAF Women's Champions League winning coach. In 2022, his club were runners up of the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League. His team won the 2023 CAF Women's Champions League title making it his second Champions League title and he was named coach of the tournament.[2]
