Questions edit

Here are the three questions you have to answer when you create the RfA.

1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
A: I plan to take part in vandalism patrols, in order to make sure that Wikipedia is kept factual and accurate. I will also help out whenever necessary with potential backlogs as Category:Candidates for speedy deletion or anywhere else there is a backlog that needs the help of administrators. I also plan to make sure that any actions that I take as an administrator are approved by all, so that I do not create edit wars or have people question my administrative powers.
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
A: As part of the Virginia Highways Wikiproject, I have written or substantially revised articles, such as Virginia State Route 143 and Virginia State Route 156. I have also worked with the U.S. Roads Wikiproject to put together an exit list for Interstate 64 in Virginia, as well as modify and revise exit lists for other interstates that run through Virginia. I feel that these are significant contributions to the encyclopedia, as the articles were weak or missing certain pieces of information that I was able to add. Finally, my creation of Woodside High School (Newport News) is one of my best creations, as I graduated from the school and can make sure that the information presented in this article is factual, and meets the NPOV standards.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: Recently, when working with vandalism patrols, I have ended up reverting pages by mistake. When the user pointed this out to me I kindly apologized, and let them know what I was working on. I also, by mistake, gave a warning to a user that did not commit vandalism. I explained what happened and apologized. I feel that by not attempting to start a fight, and by being civil, I will not make problems worse, and solutions can be easily found.

Answer those and we can work from there.   jj137 01:47, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

OK, as I said before, those are good answers. I should probably go ahead and say these things; do you have a certain time you would like to open the RfA? You also said someone else wanted to nom you (I'd be willing to co-nom if that's OK). We still have work to do but I just wanted to know those.   jj137 00:15, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I am not sure exactly when I would like to start my RfA process. I feel that if I set a specific time it may sound as if I am power hungry, and might look bad. The other user that is interested in nominating me is fellow admin User:Vaoverland. I have been working with him for the past couple of years on articles relating to places and roads in Virginia.
If you would like to see previous RfA processes that involved me, they are located at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/No1lakersfan, and Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/No1lakersfan 2. The first was one I executed when I was not an experienced user, and I had terminated before it got torn to pieces. One of the reasons the second one failed was because I, as well as the nominating user were involved in canvassing, which I have learned is very wrong and will not participate in such activities anymore.--Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 01:39, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
No, I don't think so. You don't have to set a time if you don't want, really. Also, I think "power hunger" is a term that shouldn't be used at all due to its bad usage as is.   jj137 02:09, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I was trying to avoid the use of the term, but thought it might be useful only to explain why I didn't wanto to start immediately. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 04:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I understand. Um, actually I probably should have removed the part about the term.   jj137 12:29, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I really wasn't too sure about how to say what I wanted to say, other than possibly being "greedy". But, I don't think it really matters, and should not have much of an impact on my campaign.
Yes, if at any time you think you're ready just say so.   jj137 03:40, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks a bunch. If you have any other comments or suggestions please let me know. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 13:32, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Usually, when you are having a 2nd or 3rd RfA, people will ask you how you have improved since your previous RfA(s), but since yours were so long ago, I don't think that will be a major issue. I took a quick check at your edit summary, and I think it is very good. Hundreds of edits to plenty of different namespaces, which is something a lot of people like to see. Right now, the only thing I can think of to say is that whenever you think you're ready to go for it, you'll be well prepared. If there is anything you would like to go over in any admin things you are unsure about, just let me know.   jj137 23:25, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
