The Indian School of Business and Computing (ISBC) is a business school located in Bangalore, India. It is a partner institution of the London School of Commerce (UK) Group of Colleges [1] which is an associate college of the Cardiff Metropolitan University [2].

History

Indian School of Business and computing (ISBC) is part of the London School of Commerce Group (LSC Group) which is one of the largest MBA providers in Europe with more than 10,000 students from about 100 countries. ISBC in collaboration with the Bangalore Management Academy (BMA) offers students a one year full time “British MBA degree” from the BMA, Bangalore campus. Students can complete the British MBA within the BMA campus, which is located favorably near multi-national organizations.

Academics

ISBC offers a one year full time “British MBA degree”[3] programme to its students in Bangalore. The completion of this course leads to a degree awarded by the Cardiff Metropolitan University (CMU), UK. The course has 6 intakes in a year during the months of February, April, June, August, October and November. More than 2500 MBA graduates have successfully completed this course from the group in India. Students studying the MBA programme at ISBC have a transfer credit option to complete the last term from its London or Kuala Lumpur campus.

Infrastructure

The institute is equipped with air-conditioned classrooms fitted with LCD projectors and document cameras, a library with more than 10,000 management books, e-journals, educational videos and online database access through a web enabled Online Public Access Catalogue. ISBC also has IT labs and a cafeteria that can seat 500 people and serves Indian, Chinese and Continental food. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Accreditation

ISBC is part of the London School of Commerce Group of Colleges (or LSC Group), London, which is a member of Education UK – British Council and is fully accredited by Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC.)[4] ISBC’s PGPBA programme is advance credit rated to Cardiff Metropolitan University’s MBA degree and students studying at ISBC campus will get the same MBA degree as the one awarded to students studying at the university campus. Student life

ISBC has students from all over India as well as from the UK & Europe, Thailand, Korea, the Middle East, Africa, and neighbouring countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. It offers a multi-cultural environment to its students.

Placement

ISBC offers guidance to students for exploring career opportunities. Students take an employability assessment test (TEA), basis which they get various job interviews. Students from ISBC have been placed with both Indian and international companies of repute such as HP, Airtel, Oracle, Axis Bank, Deloitte, Infosys etc.[8]
