The company was established in 1994 by Deborah Bean after an extensive career dancing with the Harriette Ann Gray Dance Company and Ballet Oregon. Graduates of IFSB have gone on to careers with Houston Ballet, Ballet West, Odyssey Dance Theatre, and Central West Ballet. edit

All IFSB students are given access to the only Master Teacher Program in Southeastern Idaho. The program brings in talented teachers from around the country, including Jeffrey Scott Bailey from New York City[2]. Their website states the Master Teacher Program is designed to fosters adaptability and professionalism in their students as well as connects IFSB to the national dance community[3].

IFSB will present excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker in collaboration with the Idaho Falls Symphony’s production Holiday Pops on Dec. 8th at 7:30 PM in the Civic Auditorium[5]. Go to www.ifsymphony.org to buy tickets.

Some IFSB productions are auditions only, though the company offers a companywide production every May.
