Aythyr is

From Perth Western Australia comes Aythyr. Formed in 2008 by Dave Sandstrom, Aythyr is a concept where by the merging of two mediums, mysticism and metal music, can give life to a new emanation of music. Known for his work with Australian Metal giants Pathogen, which he joined in 1996 and played with, initially on guitar, then moving to bass after a brief exit, and continuing to play, record and tour with until 2008. He also helped out Vespers Descent for a couple of years, recording their debut album Vision and Verse, and touring Australia. He decided to branch out on his own and find a new, fresh way of approaching a genre that is saturated with clone like bands.

The songs are written and recorded in Nightwind Studios as they are 'channelled' into manifistation, and work is underway to finish a Debut album called Through The Ages. Which is a journey from ancestral memories to the reality of now. The songs are like spells in there own right, designed to release feelings and initiate thought of self and surroundings. Although, this is the goal to achieve.
