Andrew John Ibbotson (born February 9, 1975) is a serial entrepreneur, co-founder and chief executive officer of Digital Assent LLC, a healthcare technology company based in Atlanta, GA.

Career

Andrew is president and chief executive officer of Digital Assent LLC, a healthcare technology company based in Atlanta, GA. Andrew is also an inventor of the PatientPad, a touch-screen solution designed to streamline the patient check-in process and deliver targeted health information and advertising to patients while they sit in a doctor's waiting room or exam room. In December of 2010, the PatientPad won the "2010 Cool Technology of the Year" award presented by TechAmerica and the Technology Association of Georgia. Prior to Digital Assent, Andrew served as founder and CEO of Synthis Corporation from 1999 until 2009. During his tenure at Synthis, Andrew oversaw the development and launch of an interactive advertising and selling solution which grew to over $500 million per month in sales transactions before being acquired by a multi-billion dollar, market-leading software company. Prior to Synthis, Andrew worked for Manhattan Associates, a worldwide leader in supply chain execution systems, and for Accenture in their Global Supply Chain Strategy Practice.

Personal Life

Andrew has lived in seven countries, speaks four languages, and served as a United States Envoy and Attaché to the Cuban Olympic Delegation during the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. He holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech where he graduated with high honors and was elected to the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. Andrew is a founding member of the Georgia Tech Business Network and a past member of its Board of Directors. Andrew is an accomplished distance runner, mountain biker, Ironman triathlete, and scratch golfer. Andrew has competed in numerous marathons and triathlons and is is a past winner of the Nissan Xterra Southeast Region Off-Road Triathlon Series.
