Bonnie Carter is an actress and filmmaker from Sydney, Australia.

Raised by her single father, Timothy Carter, (a respected blue grass musician), Bonnie spent her youth traveling, hitch hiking writing and listening to songs and stories of people from all walks of life.[1]

Bonnie’s life on the road continued as a young actress when she landed an International Acting scholarship from The Australian Theatre for Young People and travelled to Europe to work in the theatre in Paris and London.

Upon returning from Europe, Bonnie wrote and performed both on screen and stage and completed a Film and Television Masters degree, where her film ‘Internal Storm’ won best film at Dendy Cinema.

In 2007, Bonnie moved to Los Angeles, where she now works as an actor, writer and producer. Television appearances include: Steven Kings," "Nightmares and Dreamscapes," "Viva Laughlin.," "How I met your mother," as well as her own original series ‘The Franki Show', produced by Painting In Pictures.


In 2008 Bonnie was Awarded a women in film mentor award with Oscar nominee Melissa Leo.[citation needed]
