Nestguard is not only my user name but also the name of an ongoing bird nest box research project, which started as a hobby, but the more I got involved, it has at one point become increasingly serious, interesting and scientific.

The project has a couple of aims. First is Bird Conservation and Safety. We strive to put bird welfare, top on our list, making sure that our activities are safe and legal, at a time in the bird's life cycle which is at its most vulnerable.

I am relatively new to wikipedia, so if any contributions from my end is seen as infringing on wikipedia rules, kindly point it out exactly, so that it can be discussed, and more is learnt on how to use such an excellent online encyclopedia.
