edit

Ongudi combined school was established in 1978 by Petrus Shomondula, with grade 1 only. He continued with grade 2 in 1979 then, he taught them alone as a multiclass. In 1980 he was joined by Liina Kamhulu and later by Beata Haimbala. By then grade 3 was to cater all children during that time. The school has grown rapidly, now its a combined school with grades from pre-primary to grade 10. It has 21 teachers including the principal and HOD, 1 cleaner and 1 secretary. It has about 450 learners. As school in rular areas suffers, Ongudi combined school does not have electricity, no administration block, no laboratory neither a library, but this did not hinder the school's performance, Ongudi always tries its level best and made it in the national examination (grade 10), like in agriculture, entrepreneurship and physical science are the best top performing subjects. Ongudi has only 10 class rooms and the rest of classes are made of corrugated iron.Ohangwena region
