Neil Xavier O'Donaghue, Ph.D is a Roman Catholic Priest, Theologian, author, and university lecturer. He was ordained a priest in 2000 for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey. In 2018 he was given a new assignment as lecturer of Systematic Theology at St. Patrick's College, Maynooth. He has published books on St. Patrick, the Eucharist, and many book reviews. Additionally, he published a podcast on the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Education
editAs part of his Priestly formation he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Religious Studies and a minor in Latin, in 1997, followed by a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology in Seton Hall University. He completed a Master of Theology in Liturgy from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Liturgical Studies in the University of Notre Dame du Lac. In 2006 he was awarded Doctorate in Theology specializing in Liturgy in St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
