ConCERT Cambodia

Founded in November 2008 by Michael Horton, the chairman and founder, ConCERT– Connecting Communities, Environment & Responsible Tourism – is a non-profit organization based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It aims to reduce poverty, by developing a partnership that brings together Siem Reap organizations, charities and non-profits active in the community, along with visitors and local businesses who would like to give their support.

ConCERT supports more than 20 members in its network of organizations and charities. There are more than 60 local Siem Reap business partners supporting its mission including hotels & guesthouses, restaurants & bars, and tour operators. With the establishment of the core team, ConCERT is continuing to develop new services for its members, and to improve on what they do. To better promote the community-based tours offered by its members, ConCERT designed an ecotours display for the entrance. ConCERT has also instituted a program of regular visits to both businesses and NGO members to check on current requirements.

ConCERT's member organisations are engaged in a wide range of humanitarian activities and they all need your support. They are well managed and financially transparent, and work in partnership with local people.

We also have a wealth of information on the causes and effects of poverty in Cambodia, which explains why there is an urgent need for your support and also gives you the tools to make informed decisions about how you can best get involved.
