The Bookstore in Glen Ellyn is located at 475 N Main St #100 was opened in 1961[1]. The Bookstore was founded by Vic and Rosamond Du Jardin The building was built in 1892, and was Originally McChesney's General Store. Jack and Marguerite Rice purchased The Bookstore from the Du Jardins in 1973. In 1987, Marguerite Rice sold the Book Store to Barb and Dwight Reed, who combined Book Store into one word, The Reeds continued as owners until 1997, when they sold it to current owners Tim and Jane Stroh.
