Houses refer to the twelve house of a horoscope as distinct from the twelve celestial signs of the Zodiac. These houses have different earthly signification as well as different planetary significators. Let us start with an elaboration of the different indications for different houses.
The 1st house signifies physical appearance of the native and his nature, colour, soul and physical strength. In fact, all the physical and mental characteristics of the native can be deciphered from this house.

नवांश कुण्डली का अध्ययन कैसे करें ----
1.नवांश कुण्डली के अध्ययन में सर्वप्रथम यह देखना चाहिए कि "शुभ अंश" और "पाप अंश" में कौन-कौन से ग्रह हैं ? ज्यादा ग्रहों का "शुभ अंश" में होना अनुकूल फलदायी स्थिति होती है।
2.फिर यह देखना चाहिए कि कौन-कौन से ग्रह अपनी उच्च की राशि, स्वराशि, मित्र राशि, नीच राशि या शत्रु नवांश में हैं ।
